Author Biography
Objectives
The student will:

Procedure
Have your students create an author biography on ZZ Packer. Either give them research time in class or assign it as homework. Explain that before you read a book it can be helpful to get an idea on who the author is. Ask your students to find background information on Packer including her childhood, education, and family life. Explain how quotes can give an insight into the author and their point of view which, in turn, gives the reader another insight into the text.
