After receiving the script of the short story “Brownies,” have your students read through the whole script in groups having each student take on their own character. After the students have gone through the script you need to decide how your class will best respond to performance. Some classes will enjoy having each group perform the script in its entirety. Other classes would enjoy having each group take on one scene and stitching each performance together to create one story. Also gauge your students. Some students love being on stage, others do not and it may cause anxiety. This part is up for interpretation.
